Metal conveyor belts for the glass industry |
|
|
Type A1
They are used in the process to manufacture hollow glass and others, specially for the annealing head, decoration tunnels, verification and packing handling, etc. They usually correspond to our A1 type (belts with spirals alternately on the left and on the right and corrugated rods), with welded edges. They are made of either round or rolled spirals wire, being possible to get great planeity of the shape of the spiral to avoid excessive vibrations during goods handling (bottles, cups...).
The materials below are used according to the process conditions:
3% chrome steel. Suitable for processes whose working temperature ranges between 500 and 600°C. This material can, however, work in good conditions up to 700°C. The presence of Si and Mo in its composition makes it quite resitant to both oxidation and wear and tear.
Stainless steel. AISI 304. Sinze this is an austenitic stainless steel, 18% of Cr and 8% of Ni, this material is quite resistant to both breaking and oxidation, and can work keeping all its properties up to about 800°C. Other materials can be used upon request.
